Job Opportunity: Housing Support Worker
- Location: Leeds (LS11)
- Full-time | 37 hours per week, day shifts
- Salary: £24,655.81 + weekend enhancements
- 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 after 2 years)
Join our client's dedicated team—supporting young people aged 16–25, including care leavers, as they take their first steps into independent living.
As a Housing Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping young people build confidence, develop life skills, and maintain safe, stable housing. You’ll work closely with individuals in both a shared four-bed property and nearby community units, offering tailored 1-to-1 support up to three times a week.
Key aspects of the role:
- Manage a caseload of young people, providing consistent, person-centred support.
- Promote independence and help individuals navigate challenges in their transition to adulthood.
- Ensure safeguarding and risk management are always a priority.
- Work within a 24/7 service, including early, mid, and late shifts (including bank holidays).

Requirements:
One year of experience working with children/young peopleGood verbal, written and numeracy skills sufficient to be able to make accurate written recordsThe ability to support young people to identify need and risk and plan for positive goals and outcomes.Experience of working with vulnerable people in either a paid or voluntary capacityHas experience of or can demonstrate outstanding commitment and enthusiasm for working with young people from complex backgrounds who have experienced growing up in careTo have a understanding of the impact of childhood trauma and poor mental wellbeing.
