Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Manager for a local authority client in West London.
In this role, you will lead a frontline team to deliver person-centred housing solutions that prevent homelessness, reduce temporary accommodation use, and ensure the Council meets its statutory housing duties.
Duties:
- Lead and manage a frontline team delivering homelessness prevention and housing solutions in line with statutory duties.
- Oversee housing assessments and casework under Parts VI and VII of the Housing Act and the Homelessness Reduction Act.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to reduce temporary accommodation use and improve housing outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships with landlords, support services, and internal teams to deliver sustainable housing options.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Proven experience in housing needs or homelessness services, including casework and assessments under relevant housing legislation
- Strong team leadership and staff management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop performance.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals, including those with complex needs such as mental health or substance misuse.
- Confident in building partnerships with internal services, external agencies, and housing providers to deliver effective outcomes.
What's on offer:
Salary: £30ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
