Housing Repairs and Maintenance Manager

Join our public sector team as a Housing Repairs and Maintenance Manager, where you will lead the delivery of responsive repairs, disrepair, damp and mould remediation, and capital investment works. This role is ideal for a strategic and experienced professional with a strong background in housing property services.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage contractor performance, ensuring budgets are adhered to and customer satisfaction is high.
- Act as Expert Witness in disrepair cases and ensure all activities comply with legal standards.
- Lead and develop technical staff, overseeing multiple workstreams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor and report on service performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Drive service improvements and support strategic planning to enhance service delivery.
- Manage service budgets effectively and deputise for the Head of Service when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of building construction and housing maintenance.
- Proven experience in staff management and improving contractor performance.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation, compliance, and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and financial management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project delivery within the housing sector.
