Join our public sector team as a Housing Repairs and Maintenance Manager, where you will lead the delivery of responsive repairs, disrepair, damp and mould remediation, and capital investment works. • Manage contractor performance, ensuring budgets are adhered to and customer satisfaction is high.
• Act as Expert Witness in disrepair cases and ensure all activities comply with legal standards.
• Lead and develop technical staff, overseeing multiple workstreams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Monitor and report on service performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Drive service improvements and support strategic planning to enhance service delivery.
• Manage service budgets effectively and deputise for the Head of Service when required.

• Extensive knowledge of building construction and housing maintenance.
• Proven experience in staff management and improving contractor performance.
• Strong understanding of housing legislation, compliance, and health & safety requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and financial management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project delivery within the housing sector.
