Housing Officer - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

We're looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer in the Cheshire area on an ongoing, temporary contract. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum requirement of 2 x days a week on patch so will require a driving licence with access to your own vehicle and valid business insurance.

Your new role

• Responsible for delivering day to day housing and tenancy management services across your own designated patch
• Managing lettings, viewings, signups, allocations, exchanges, audits/inspections, health & safety compliance, repairs and reviews
• Managing own caseloads of ASB and other tenancy breaches through to resolution including court attendance where required
• Supporting tenancy sustainment and customers at risk of tenancy failure or in arrears
• Identifying community and estate issues, implementing improvements and working in partnership with contractors and internal/external teams
• Responding to complaints and general enquiries from customers, stakeholders and local MPs

What you'll need to succeed

• A good level of experience in a housing and tenancy management role, having managed and investigated cases of anti-social behaviour
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, statutory requirements and best practice
• Good knowledge of welfare benefitd and understanding of safeguarding policies & procedures
• Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
