We are looking for a Nursery Housekeeper

• Annual Salary: £25,500 - £26,300
• Location: London
• Job Type: Full-time
• Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday 10am-3pm

Day-to-day of the role:

• Cleaning & Hygiene:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in classrooms, toilets, kitchen areas, staff rooms, and communal spaces according to the nursery’s standards.
  • Regularly clean, sanitise, and safely store all toys, resources, and equipment.
  • Manage laundry tasks including children’s bedding and bibs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in dining areas during mealtimes.

• Organisation & Maintenance:

  • Restock necessary consumables like toilet paper, soap, hand towels, and cleaning products.
  • Keep storage areas tidy and ensure resources are well organised.
  • Promptly report any maintenance issues to the Nursery Manager.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere to health and safety procedures to maintain a hazard-free environment.
  • Comply with COSHH regulations for the safe storage and use of cleaning materials.
  • Assist in deep cleaning sessions, inspections, and special events preparation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably within childcare, school, or healthcare settings.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• A positive, can-do attitude with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to creating a safe and hygienic environment for children.
• Professional, respectful, and discreet in all interactions.
