• Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 gpa (DOE)

Overview

A welcoming family based in a spacious country home in Wiltshire is seeking a reliable and hands-on Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their busy household. This is a varied role that would suit a flexible, friendly, and proactive individual who is happy to assist wherever needed. While a live-out arrangement is preferred, private live-in accommodation can be provided for the right candidate.

The household is informal yet well-organised, with involved parents and additional family support. The ideal candidate will be confident, personable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with a positive, can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping of main family areas, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, deep-cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms, wiping surfaces, and keeping all spaces tidy
• Laundry and ironing (delicate items are handled externally)
• Occasional school and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups
• Light childcare and supervision as required
• Running errands and dealing with contractors
• General tidying, organisation, and upkeep of household routines
• Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals from time to time (clean eating and traditional family-style meals)

General Support:

• Flexible, “all-rounder” approach to daily household tasks
• Pet-friendly (there is a gentle family dog)
• Willing to muck in and lend a helping hand wherever needed

Working Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Occasional flexibility may be appreciated

Candidate Requirements

• Friendly, warm, and approachable
• Strong housekeeping skills with attention to detail
• Child-friendly with a naturally caring approach
• Confident driver with a valid UK licence (own car preferred)
• Comfortable working in a home with pets
• Able to take initiative and work as part of a team
• Previous experience in a similar family-focused role preferred
