House Manager - Private Family Residence (Live-Out) | GL7 | Circa £40,000

Location: GL7, Nr BiburyContract Type: Full-Time, PermanentAccommodation: Live-out (must reside locally, ideally within 5 miles)Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday ( including approximately 25 weekends per year when the family are in residence - time off during the week during these periods)

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and reliable House Manager / Housekeeper to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a beautiful five-bedroom private residence in the Cotswolds. Used as a weekend and occasional holiday home, the property requires a high level of attention and care throughout the year.

We are seeking a professional, proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards and is looking for a long-term, stable position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and ironing

• Preparing and cooking meals when the family is in residence

• Serving meals and clearing up when the family entertains

• Ensuring the home is well-stocked, organised, and always guest-ready

• Handling general property maintenance and minor repairs

• Coordinating with contractors and tradespeople as required

• Providing occasional support to the gardener

Candidate Requirements:

• Must be based locally (within 5 miles of GL7)

• Previous experience in a similar role within a private household

• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy at all times

• Willing and able to work weekends as needed (approximately 25 per year)

• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach

• A genuine desire to contribute to the smooth running and upkeep of a well-maintained family home
