Bloomberg's Workplace Operations group is looking for a Hospitality & Experience Specialist to join our team. We warmly welcome our employees, guests and visitors as well as enhance their internal experience within our EMEA headquarters. We are a critical component of our robust customer engagement philosophy, and it is our responsibility to ensure their entire experience is consistently handled with outstanding service. The Role: This role sits within our Workplace Experience function and is responsible for multiple touch points related to the employee and client experience varying from events management, internal & external catering operations, front of house, the guest experience, tours, the Bloomberg Arcade, and business relations. You will collaborate with internal partners and our external vendors, including our catering, front of house, and facilities management teams. Additionally, you will analyse data and compile presentations and therefore strong creative and MS Office skills are necessary. Every single day will be different - so it is important you're diligent and come in with an open attitude, ready to handle any challenge thrown your way. You will also act as a 'go to' person and develop strong working relationships with different business areas, providing updates from a hospitality and building perspective to ensure a seamless working experience for our colleagues and visitors. Additionally, you will be part of a highly dynamic scrum team which works to execute against our global initiatives. We'll trust you to:
  • Possess a dedication to improve the employee experience and support business enhancements
  • Be aware of all events, catering, other group activities, as well as VIP arrivals each day
  • Co-ordinate and assist with implementing large events or activities that take place in the building
  • Build strong relationships with specific business areas and meet regularly to keep them updated with building and hospitality initiatives
  • Understand security procedures and policies, and assist to ensure compliance for guests and employees
  • Work with partners in various departments to coordinate group visits/tours and conduct tours as and when required
  • Analyse data, report back on guest trends, tour information, events data, and other internal affairs
  • Demonstrate outstanding organizational skills and discretion while being proactive, detailed & results oriented
You need to have:
  • Demonstrated experience in an environment with high customer service standards
  • A passion for customer service, hospitality and have a knowledge of current trends
  • Proven track record of analysing data/using Excel and building presentations to tell a story
  • Strong executive presence, confidence, poise, perseverance, and ability to develop relationships with a variety of partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to articulate to key contacts and an ability to influence multiple partners including senior leadership
