Home Ownership Recovery Officer

Location: Harlow

Duration: 6 Months contract

Hours: Monday - Friday (Full-time)

Hourly Pay: £17.16 - £17.78 per hour

This is a Hybrid role which requires on site activity 3days/week in Harlow.

Our client/ local authority are hiring a 'Home Ownership Recovery Officer' to join their Home Ownership Team!

The role:

To support the Councils commitment to providing the highest level of customer care and service delivery. The successful candidate will work in a busy Home Ownership Team, you will assist the Senior Recovery Officer in a wide range of tasks including the collection of service charges for both annual charges and major works, recovery of unpaid finances, administration of service charge and all works to support these functions.

To ensure that comprehensive, up-to-date, clear, easily accessible, written notes and documentation are maintained on individual cases / incidents and where appropriate electronic records are regularly updated and maintained

Duties include but are not limited too:

• To attend meetings of site, sometimes out of working hours.
• To be responsible for all undisputed or undefended leasehold service charges.
• To manage debt recovery and council loans to leaseholders.
• To deliver a first-class customer service experience.
• To discuss with the Senior Recovery Officer any unusual, complex or sensitive cases at an early stage.
• To liaise with the Home Ownership team, Property Surveyors and other service providers to resolve disputes.

The experience you will bring:

Full UK Driving licence with access to own vehicle.

Knowledge of housing legislation
