Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

• Location: Wakefield area
• Start Date: September 2025
• End Date: Long Term

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in YR3/4 at a primary school in the Pontefract area. This role is perfect for someone enthusiastic about education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work with small groups and individual students to provide targeted support.
• Assist in the planning and preparation of learning activities.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supervise students during break times and other activities as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience working with primary school children, particularly in Year 3/4.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
