HLTA – Higher Level Teaching Assistant Required to deliver intervention sessions to small groups of Key Stage 3 & 4 children who have struggled to engage in mainstream education. This award-winning Alternative Provision is looking for an experienced HLTA to provide 1-2-1 and small group intervention sessions for students with SEMH needs.This school s a vibrant and dynamic setting that has been recognised for the outstanding support that it provides students who have struggled with mainstream education. Leadership are supportive and staff are welcoming, as you are all working towards a common goal, giving children a second chance at education! AS a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant HLTA, you will be delivering booster sessions for students who have fallen behind, primarily focused on core subjects. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HLTA or instructor who is able to break down barriers to education and inspire students. Job Role:
  • Facilitating learning for students with anxiety, SEMH needs and school refusers
  • Providing tailored support and intervention sessions
  • Understanding the needs of individual students
  • Working with the SENCO and teachers to provide appropriate support for students
  • Delivering sessions on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
  • Effectively managing behaviour and motivating reluctant learners
  • Being a part of an award-winning team of teachers and support staff
  • Helping students to reengage in education and hopefully return to a mainstream setting
