We are seeking a Hire & Sales Coordinator to join our team and provide a prompt and efficient service to our customers. This role involves administering all paperwork related to hiring out equipment and maximising revenue through add-on sales. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and liaise with various team members to ensure the smooth operation of the depot.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Handle telephone enquiries/orders from customers and provide accurate information on equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Workshop and Drivers to ensure equipment availability and timely delivery to customers.
  • Maintain consistent availability of Top 50 items in collaboration with the Foreman & General Manager.
  • Process hires, off-hires, and exchanges on Smart Office with precision.
  • Engage in purchasing, equipment searches, internal depot transfers, stock control, and customer enquiries using Smart Office.
  • Actively sell consumables to customers to meet monthly revenue targets.
  • Ensure the effective use of PDA systems and liaise with Drivers for maximum efficiency.
  • Process manual paperwork when necessary and maintain a daily diary of equipment movement.
  • Liaise with other depots to source equipment and report any customer rate or agreement defaults for rectification.
  • Assist with resolving invoice queries and adapt to changes in systems and criteria.
  • Maintain the depot showroom and work area (clean, tidy, well-stocked, and dust-free).
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required by the General Manager, which may include driving duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to meet revenue targets and deadlines.
  • Strong administrative skills with minimal errors.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in systems and criteria.
  • Proactive in looking after company interests and customer business.
  • Familiarity with Smart Office or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Clean driving licence may be required for occasional driving duties.
