Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage the delivery of highway projects, ensuring they align with the organisation's strategic objectives and meet high-quality standards
- Coordinate project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project completion
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, local authorities, and contractors, to build strong relationships and ensure project success
- Act as a key point of contact for all highway project-related inquiries
Contract Management:
- Lead the management of contracts related to highway delivery projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and adherence to project specifications
- Negotiate and liaise with contractors to ensure the smooth execution of project milestones
Budget Oversight:
- Manage project budgets efficiently, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on financial performance
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure budgetary compliance and seek opportunities for cost savings
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes for highway projects
- Monitor and evaluate project outcomes to identify areas for improvement and innovation
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Prioritise and enforce health and safety standards across all highway projects to ensure the well-being of workers and the general public
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing and delivering highway projects within the public sector
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders
