Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Long-Term ContractLocation: Bedfordshire Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-TermStart Date: ASAP

Newstaff Education division are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and supportive school on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning across the school, covering planned absences and PPA time.
• Lead small group interventions and whole class sessions where required.
• Assist in planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to raise achievement and ensure inclusion.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience working in a UK primary or secondary school setting.
• Confident in delivering lessons to whole classes.
• Strong communication, organisational and behaviour management skills.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
