We can offer free training sessions for anyone who wants to be a Cover Supervisor.

Draig recruitment has an opportunity for a full-time Cover Supervisor or Higher Level Teachning Assistant to work in one of our community-friendly secondary schools in Flintshire.

Hours full time Monday to Friday 8:30am-15:30pm. Pays min of £80 per day.

Duties will include

• Working across different curriculum areas, including different subjects.
• Follow the work set by the class teacher
• Keeping students safe and productive in the absence of the class teacher
• Motivate and support students to stay on task
• Provide students with any materials or tools needed to complete a task
• Complete feedback notes for when the class teacher returns
• Follow the school's policy on managing behaviour

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Experience working with children or young people ideally up to Key stage 4
• Experience of supporting children or young people with ALN
• Be supportive, patient, sensitive
• Have resilience in managing challenging situations
• Ability to use de-escalation techniques if required
• Ideally have GCSE Maths and English to level C or above

• Eligibility to work in the UK
• References confirming suitability for role
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willing to apply
• EWC registration or willing to apply
• Safeguarding training or willing to complete free training
• Free CPD Training available in various topics
