HGV Technician needed

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Our client, a privately owned group dealing with transport, trailer manufacturing, vehicle and construction equipment sales and supportive services to the road transport industry, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.

Role: HGV technician

Salary: £40,000 -£45,000 per annum

Hours: Early/ Lates shift pattern ;Week 1: 7:30- 16:00 /Week 2: 13:30-22:00

Location: Oxford

Key Responsibility:

• You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
• You'll work independently to maintain and repair DAF vehicles and components.
• You'll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
• You'll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
• You'll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

Requirements:

• A completed secondary vocational education.
• A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge, preferably of DAF products.
• An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
• Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
• required to provide your own tool-kit
• possession of a valid driving licence (preferably HGV but not essential).
