HGV Engineer - First Military Recruitment : Job Details

JE116: HGV EngineerLocation: Enslow, KidlingtonSalary: £38,000 Per Annum Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a full time HGV Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.This role would be ideal for an ex-military candidate, however all applications will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out MOT preparation of LGV’s to DVSA standards
• Fault finding and repair of vehicles
• General Maintenance of vehicles
• Vehicle presentation improvements
• 6 weekly vehicle inspections
• Breakdown repairs
• Light commercial vehicle maintenance
• Workshop housekeeping
• Be flexible and assist/carry out other quarry tasks when required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• NVQ Levels 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy parts and working in confined spaces.
• Ability to manage time effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks within deadlines.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• In-depth understanding of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension.
