HGV Class 1 Night Driver (chilled loads)

Drivertemps Limited are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Night drivers to work with our fantastic and longest serving client - a chilled distribution company based in Portsmouth.

The Role:

• Required to drive to and from one of 3 retail distribution centres within 90 mins of the depot.
• Wait for load and return to the depot in Portsmouth.
• This role involves driving on occasion double decker trailers, so good geographical knowledge is required.

Experience & Knowledge:

• Held your HGV 1 licence for a minimum of 1 year.
• No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid CPC Card (DQC).
• Understand and be able to comply with Driver hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Good geographical knowledge of the south of England.
• Have the experience and knowledge to be able to divert cross country to and from locations as and when signs, traffic or other conditions dictate.

Remuneration: PAYE. PAID BREAKS.

• Monday to Friday - £170 per shift. Shifts are typically 8 to 9 hours.
• Saturday - £170 for a single run typically 6 hours
• Saturday - £200 for a double run. £20 per hour after 10 hours. Normally an 11/12 hour run.
• Sunday - £200 per shift.
