Health and Safety Officer - Pure Resourcing Solutions : Job Details

We are working with a leading manufacturer in the Beccles area who are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stability, strong employee benefits, and the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.As Health and Safety Officer, you will support the EHS Manager in promoting a positive safety culture across the site. You’ll take responsibility for implementing and monitoring proactive safety measures, carrying out audits, and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Health and Safety professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.Core responsibilities include:

• Supporting the EHS Manager and deputising in their absence
• Conducting environmental monitoring, inspections, and audits
• Maintaining company risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH compliance
• Preparing KPI and monthly performance reports
• Assisting with accident and incident investigations
• Delivering health, safety, and environmental training across the business
• Supporting departments in raising standards of training documentation
• Advising staff and contractors on compliance and best practice

About you:

• NEBOSH Health and Safety and Environmental Certificate (or IOSH equivalent)
• Experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Good knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, and relevant HSE legislation
• Strong communication and presentation skills – able to engage with all levels of the business
• Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage changing priorities
• Confident with Microsoft Office and documentation control
