About the RoleThey are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to oversee health and safety across structural steel projects nationwide. This hands-on, site-based role involves regular travel to sites and requires a solid background in health and safety within the structural steel or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies

• Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks; review method statements and risk assessments

• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions

• Provide clear health and safety guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and project managers

Requirements

• Black CSCS card (essential)

• Extensive experience in health and safety roles on construction sites

• Proven background in structural steel

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification (preferred)

• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to promote a positive safety culture

• Flexibility to travel regularly to sites across the UK
