Health & Safety Advisor - Construction Industry

About the Role:

As the Area Safety Advisor, you'll play a critical role in supporting management and site teams with expert health and safety guidance. You’ll report directly to the Managing Director and be a visible presence across sites, conducting inspections, delivering training, and advising on safety compliance and best practices.

• Submit quarterly safety reports to senior management

• Advise on Health & Safety legislation and ensure regulatory compliance

• Investigate accidents and report findings with preventive recommendations

• Conduct site audits and random inspections with formal reports

• Deliver safety inductions and training sessions

• Maintain accident and incident records, ensuring accurate data for reporting

• Monitor lifting equipment, scaffolding, plant safety, and inspection documentation

• Liaise with industry bodies, safety committees, and HSE inspectors

• Provide guidance on risk assessments, method statements, and safety policies

• NEBOSH qualification (essential)

• CSCS Card

• Proven Health & Safety experience in the construction/building industry

• Excellent knowledge of UK H&S regulations

• Ability to work independently across multiple locations
