Health and Safety Advisor (Industrial Doors)- Company Overview:

This role involves supporting day-to-day safety operations, including monitoring procedures, assisting with risk assessments, maintaining accurate records, and helping deliver training.

Health and Safety Advisor (Industrial Doors)- Role and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE use, and signage requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements, helping to identify and implement control measures.
  • Support the reporting and investigation of incidents, near misses, and accidents, maintaining accurate records and identifying trends.
  • Maintain up-to-date health and safety documentation, including inspection logs, training records, and compliance registers.
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of safety inductions and training sessions for new and existing staff.
  • Help promote a positive safety culture through internal communications, toolbox talks, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support updates to health and safety policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current legislation and company standards.
  • Provide assistance during internal and external audits, tracking actions and collating data from inspections.
  • Liaise with staff, contractors, and project managers to ensure health and safety requirements are communicated and upheld on site.
  • Keep informed of relevant legislation and industry best practice, supporting the implementation of any required changes.

Health and Safety Advisor (Industrial Doors)- Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety role within the UK
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and/or IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations
  • Experience within construction, manufacturing, or engineering environments preferred
  • Familiarity with HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality) systems and procedures
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
  • Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and a committed team player
  • Full UK driving licence or equivalent
