Here's what you'll be doing

This position is about leading the central UK Strategy team and driving development strategy. Being the go- to person for creating strategy within E.ON's UK business. E.ON's business in the UK has been through a successful turnaround and navigated an energy crisis, and is now pivoting to growth. Having a clear, logical strategy against which we deliver is key and this role is central to making that happen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a high-quality strategy team and continually developing your skills, whilst supporting the effective development of the wider UK strategy function.
• Own and run the UK strategy development process, working closely with the UK Board and provide thought-leadership on how to develop strategy and make strategic decisions, and on strategic topics related to energy and the energy transition.
• Support the UK Board in taking an external-facing, future-orientated perspective by identifying key topic areas, developing insight and communications it effectively.
• Work closely with line-of-business strategy teams and other senior stakeholders on cross-cutting strategy projects.
• Ensure the UK strategy is communicated effectively and implemented, working closely with Commercial Services, EBS, line-of-business strategy teams and other senior stakeholders,
• Lead strategic projects sponsored by CEO and other UK Board members and support "corporate office" activities for the UK CEO, including writing presentations, providing briefing notes and preparing high profile internal and external meetings.

What we need from you

• Experience leading a strategy team or clear transferable skills, including from leading senior level cross-functional strategy projects.
• Proven experience developing business strategy.
• Knowledge and application of strategy development and analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical (qualitative and quantitative), critical thinking, and conceptualisation skills.
• Ability to mobilise and lead cross-functional teams, including where they do not have direct authority, collaborating effectively.
• Ability to cope with multiple competing priorities, and deliver to tight timeframes.
• Ability to write clear and compelling reports and presentations and present effectively.
