Head of Software Engineering

£140k - £150k + Package

A Market leading retail focussed client based in Hertfordshire is looking to hire a head of software engineering, this role reports to the CTO, this is a technically focussed role where you will be managing onsite and offshore teams across Asia, but also working on large client programs across the UK, Europe and the US.

Managing teams across the UK and Asia, this will consist of software engineers, tech leads, and project delivery managers.

Working closely with the CTO and CEO and 3rd party vendors across sectors within retail and e-commerce.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Being 50|50 hands-on and hands off: working closely with the 50-person strong development team with plans to grow to over the next 12 months
• Advising on product, product architecture, and best practice
• Working within an agile methodology to ensure work is completed to spec and on time
• Liaising with the C-Suite team to display product roadmap and consult intra-business

Excellent package on offer

This is an onsite role based in the office 4/5 days a week with some international travel involved.
