- Act as a visible ambassador for our Safety-First initiatives
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies
- Monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reporting on performance, measuring against set standards
- Partner with global management and services to reduce risk and promote a positive safe working culture.
- To develop and lead a compliance regime to meet with statuary legislation using industry best practice.
- Promote ESG responsibility throughout the business, including the provision of resource to maintain centric data to enable global business reporting.
- To ensure compliance with company standards e.g. OHSAS 18000 / ISO45000 / ISO 9001 / ISO14001 / RISQS / UVDB accreditation registration within the business.
- Oversee and lead incident investigations, ensuring lessons are learned and driving continuous improvement in Safety practices
- Chair internal health, safety and environment leadership committees and forums
- Work with department heads and our procurement team to review, on board and oversee supply partners from Safety and Environmental perspectives
- Support, facilitate and monitor incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Serve as the primary contact for safety-related inquiries and issues across the company.
Head of SHEQEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Extensive experience in HSE management
- Bachelor’s degree – Occupation safety and health (GRADIOSH)
- IEMA AFF / APS / IIRSM
- Thorough understanding of Quality, Safety, Environment accreditation systems. (ISO9001/14001/ 45001/RISQS/UVDB)
- Experience with both fixed location, industrial workplaces, and construction sites, including a rail environment
- Detailed knowledge of a wide range of Safety, Health, Environment & Quality issues including current best practice
