We are looking for a Head of Responsive Repairs to join our dedicated team in the public sector. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the future of our responsive repairs service, ensuring a resident-focused approach while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the responsive repairs function, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
• Act as the key liaison for stakeholders both within the Council and externally.
• Develop and implement strategic and operational plans aimed at continuous improvement.
• Oversee external maintenance and reactive repair service providers, ensuring quality management systems are in place.
• Manage a budget turnover of approximately £12 million and monitor financial performance.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary, customer-focused services in housing maintenance or related fields.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team while managing change effectively.
• Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop strategies that support service delivery and improvement, with a focus on financial accountability.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present effectively at various levels.

Key Attributes:Strong knowledge of the legislative framework surrounding repairs and building maintenance.Commitment to promoting health and safety practises.A flexible approach with a willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
