Contract Type: Full-time, fixed term until 31/12/2024 Location: Brighton (80% remote) As the Head of Product Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for a designated university partner portfolio. This pivotal role involves creating and maintaining differentiated value propositions, developing go-to-market strategies, and managing new product launches. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll identify key initiatives to expand brand reach, maximize student recruitment, and meet partner expectations.ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Act as a marketing interface between Product and Marketing teams to help define the overall product proposition and story for internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Branding and awareness: increase our brand awareness across our key geographies ensuring brand consistency and clarity with each of our core audiences (university partners, agents, schools, prospective students).
  • Proposition development: Based on customer insight develop and define differentiated, segmented product propositions, positioning and messaging for customers and prospects which create competitive advantage for our products in their markets.
  • Pricing: take responsibility for developing competitive pricing strategies inclusive of payment plans and discounting strategies.
  • Ensure your portfolio of existing and new products achieve their targets through innovative and well executed product marketing initiatives.
  • Go to market planning & execution - work with colleagues in Sales, Product, Partner success and wider marketing teams to design the optimum go to market approach for each product ensuring student recruitment, brand reach and partner satisfaction targets are met.
  • Marketing campaigns - plan and deliver the right knowledge and marketing and communications assets and toolkits for marketing and sales colleagues that enable them to create and execute appropriate and powerful campaigns.
  • Utilising market insight and customer data, be responsible for leading the development and execution of annual product marketing plans to meet and/or exceed university expectations and business goals. The plans should be regularly reviewed and refined considering changing conditions.
  • Product launch - coordinate the planning of new product launches and releases, manage the cross-functional marketing readiness to handle the new product and deliver and execute the product marketing aspects of the launch - including all asset development, training, sales enablement toolkits and coordination with other marketing/sales departments.
  • Based on customer insight and demand, and working with sales and product development colleagues, actively identify up/cross sell opportunities and new product innovations or extensions to maximise commercial ROI and grow student numbers/yield.
  • Lead and manage the marketing relationship with university partners ensuring regular communication and engagement with key university stakeholders.
  • Manage the Product Marketing Team - where relevant - in tracking and analysing market trends and competitors to maintain competitive advantage in the positioning and pricing of our products within key markets.
  • Participate in marketing projects as required including the effective planning of projects to deliver business and stakeholder needs.

ABOUT YOU

  • Professional marketing qualification desirable
  • Product marketing experience in an international context, across the entire marketing mix.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic integrated marketing plans across the channel mix.
  • Integrated marketing mind set, passion for storytelling through multiple media types.
  • Experience of working in a multi-channel and matrix organisation
  • Strategic thinker to develop innovative new strategies to drive business growth.
  • Experienced at stakeholder management and meeting partner expectations.
  • Commercially aware and data-driven with a clear focus on ROI.
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and writing skills, a keen visual sense, and an eye for detail.
  • Understanding of Higher Education market is desirable.
  • Ability to support a strategic vision and plans aligned to brand and business objectives.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Experience managing individuals and agencies and communicating and influencing across national boundaries.
