Head of Private Clients – Liverpool

Take the lead in shaping and growing a specialist Private Client division for an highly regarded insurance brokerage in Liverpool. This is a standout opportunity for an experienced High Net Worth specialist to step into a senior leadership role, drive strategic direction, and elevate a well-established proposition built on expertise, quality, and trust.
You’ll lead a dedicated Private Client team, work closely with discerning high-net-worth individuals, and take ownership of developing the service, proposition, and market presence. What you’ll be doing:
Lead & Develop the Team
- Shape the culture, direction, and performance of the Private Client team.
- Manage succession planning, coaching, and ongoing development.
Senior Client Relationship Management
- Act as the key contact for high-value HNW clients.
- Handle complex queries and escalations with professionalism and discretion.
Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Grow the Private Client portfolio through networks, introducers, and targeted initiatives.
- Represent the business at industry and client events to raise profile and visibility.
Proposition Development
- Strengthen and evolve the HNW offering across fine homes, art, jewellery, collectibles, and lifestyle risks.
- Ensure the proposition remains competitive, compliant, and tailored to affluent client needs.
Technical Expertise & Market Engagement
- Provide expert oversight on complex and non-standard risks.
- Work closely with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive terms and specialist placements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless, high-quality client journey.
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience within the HNW insurance market (ideally broking).
- Proven leadership capability with a track record of developing teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with discerning clients.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking, with experience driving growth.
- Solid technical knowledge across HNW products, including complex risks.
- Familiarity with Acturis and knowledge of property, fine art, jewellery, and lifestyle-related insurances.
- CII qualifications are advantageous (not essential).
