Robertson Bell are partnering with this unique charity to lead the search for their new permanent Head of People and Organisational Development. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Resources you will lead a small team of three and will be responsible for spearheading the developing and execution of the organisations HR strategy.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Develop and implement an effective HR strategy ensuring the plan aligns with the organisations objectives whilst also ensuring best practice is applied.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development amongst all Managers and staff by managing the appraisal process for staff and creating annual training and development plans.
  • Monitor the organisations culture, identifying any issues and providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop HR policies ad procedures offering expert guidance on employment law.
  • Manage the HR budget (£300k) overseeing expenditure and negotiating contracts with HR service providers.
  • Prepare management information and carry out analysis, using insights to inform future strategy and policy decisions.
  • Line manage two direct reports with a total team of three, ensuring opportunities for their career development are accessible.

This permanent Head of People and Organisational Development will be based from the organisations head office near Croydon and will require office attendance. The role requires a full CIPD qualification and is an ideal opportunity for candidates with diverse industry background. Please note our client is also willing to consider candidates stepping up into their first ‘Head of’ role.

The success candidate will:

  • Be fully CIPD qualified.
  • Have proven experience leading on HR initiatives and driving effective change.
  • Be a strong communicator with the ability to partner with senior stakeholders.
  • Ideally have managed a small team previously.
