Head of IT | IT Director

The role will be based in Farringdon 4 days a week and 1 day a week at home.

The role is managing a small team who support just over 1000 users.

Job Purpose

The main duty is to manage the company’s overall technology to help the organisation achieve its goals.Managing and overseeing a small IT team to ensure infrastructure and operations of IT systems are deliver and acceptable across the company. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• As part of the senior leadership team, directly involve in the strategy for IT, business systems, cybersecurity, data governance, data analytics and digital transformation, leveraging technology to help achieve its goal.
• Responsible for creating IT policies and procedures, implementing infrastructure and systems, driving technology to help the organization to achieve its goals and grow in scale to unlock commercial and operational opportunities, efficiencies, and organizational value. This includes everything from planning and executing projects to overseeing the infrastructure, technical operations, and talent management.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and managing new, established vendor / technology partnership relationships, administering budgets, ensuring cyber security and data governance best practice are followed while maintaining a high availability infrastructure, as well as continuously reviewing / assessing the company infrastructure, systems, network, and new technologies.

• Duties and responsibilities include:

• Provide visionary leadership in IT and Business Systems driving business growth through futuristic ideas and solutions.
• Oversees the company’s technology road map for all technical infrastructure, systems, and data.
• Lead IT technical teams with hands on management approach for the development and implementation of all IT policies & procedure for; architecture, security, infrastructure, systems, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, & service provision.
• Provides leadership in IT, systems, security, data & supports digital literacy and automation throughout the organization.
• Evaluate and optimize Azure resources for scalability, performance, develop strategies, assess dependencies, and execute migration plans of infrastructure and applications into the Azure cloud environment while ensuring minimal disruption to operations and ensure cost efficiency.
• Responsible for various technology projects, scoping, designing, tendering, building, and managing and delivering complex changes.
• Proficiency in company IT forecasting, budgeting, managing financial aspects of the IT and business systems, including purchasing, creating, and monitoring budgets.
• Experience in a management of large projects capacity and resources planning, including all aspects of development and execution, change request and timelines, managing subsequent budget changes where necessary and submit budget proposals.
