Head of Internal and Supply Chain Communications
Your role will be to develop, implement, and lead a comprehensive internal and supply chain communications and engagement strategy that aligns with organisational priorities. The role focuses on enhancing employee engagement, supporting cultural transformation, and effectively promoting the organisation’s employee value proposition to aid talent attraction and retention.
This is a high-impact position, working in close collaboration with senior leadership, including the Executive Team and key stakeholders across both the organisation and its supply chain. The role encompasses all aspects of internal and partner communications, with a strong emphasis on leadership alignment and change management communications.
As a Head of Internal and Supply Chain Communications, you will need to have/be:
- Strong ability to develop and deliver impactful internal and supply chain communications aligned with strategic goals, using a variety of channels and formats.
- Confident in influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, and handling sensitive or complex topics with clarity.
- Skilled in managing communications projects to tight deadlines and high standards, in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Proficient in analysing data and insights to shape messaging and build compelling organisational narratives.
- Experienced in communicating effectively across diverse audiences, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
- In-depth understanding of best practices in internal and supply chain communications, including measurement and continuous improvement.
- Familiar with emerging communications tools, techniques, and evaluation methods.
- Knowledgeable in crisis communication planning, change management, employee engagement, and broader corporate communication functions such as media relations and public affairs.
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles delivering communication and engagement strategies in complex, matrixed organisations.
- Track record of advising executives and senior stakeholders on strategic communications and managing crisis communications.
- Strong background in developing engaging content across multiple internal and partner-facing platforms.

Role of Head of Internal and Supply Chain Communications:
- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s internal and supply chain communications and engagement strategy, fostering an inclusive culture aligned with corporate objectives.
- Serve as the strategic advisor on internal and supply chain communications to the External Affairs Director, CEO, and senior leadership teams across both the organisation and its supply chain.
- Promote and embed the organisation’s Employee Value Proposition to support staff engagement, attraction, and retention.
- Drive communications that support business transformation and cultural change, ensuring timely, targeted, and engaging messaging across the organisation and its supply chain.
- Oversee engagement initiatives such as employee surveys and values-based activities, ensuring alignment with cultural goals and continuous improvement.
- Build effective relationships with senior leaders and supply chain partners to secure support and approval for communications and engagement campaigns.
- Work collaboratively across teams to ensure consistent, accessible, and inclusive messaging that reflects strategic priorities.
- Own and manage all internal and supply chain communications channels, ensuring consistent delivery and alignment with key performance indicators.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communications activity, using insights to refine approach and enhance impact.
- Ensure all content meets accessibility standards and supports a coherent organisational narrative.
- Develop and implement internal crisis communications plans, coordinating responses during major incidents to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Lead and develop a communications team of five permanent staff, supported by interim resources as needed.
- Procure, manage, and evaluate external suppliers and partnerships supporting internal and supply chain communications and engagement.
