Head of HousingLocation: Warwick (Hybrid Working Available)Rate: £53.15 per hour (Umbrella)Contract: Full-time, Interim AssignmentWe are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded local authority for an experienced Head of Housing to lead the strategic development and operational delivery of a key council service. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and drive housing services that make a real difference to the local community.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for the Housing Service Area, ensuring services are efficient, effective, and customer-focused.
• Drive corporate change and contribute to the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Strategy.
• Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performing, value-for-money services.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory responsibilities within the service area.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide expert advice to the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team, and Elected Members.

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent, with substantial experience at a senior leadership level within housing or a related field.
• Proven track record in delivering service improvements and driving strategic change.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, particularly consumer standards for social housing.
• Experience of leading multi-disciplined teams and managing complex service areas.
• Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIH) with evidence of continuous professional development.
