Our client is a strategic skills partner to a world class client base and is at a point of real inflexion. People are at the core of the business and with an inspiring leadership team and PE funding, there is a strategy in place to expand its service offering and embark on a value creation plan to diversify and growth the business.

As part of the plans to provide best in class finance support, the CFO is looking to recruit the new role of Head of FP&A to build this function from the ground up. The role provides exposure across the business and will be central to the sustainable and profitable growth agenda.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build a strong FP&A team that can support the business in achieving its strategic and growth objectives:
  • Lead the FP&A function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic decision making and drive business performance
  • Manage and develop a new budgeting process for P&L, balance sheet and cashflow through implementation of a planning system that is fit for purpose
  • Partner closely with key internal stakeholders including SLT, operations and business development teams to provide financial insights, support business initiatives and drive financial performance
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial finance processes and reporting, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
  • Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting key trends, opportunities and risks to senior management and investors
  • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals providing guidance, mentorship and opportunities for growth and development
  • Other duties as required

Key requirements for the role:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Strong FP&A experience including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling & variance analysis with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and challenge the status quo, driving continuous improvement and innovation
  • IT literate & experienced in Microsoft excel / data analytics, use of Power Bl would be advantageous
  • A self-starter and self-manager who can get things done and has an inquisitive mind, able to find things out and problem solve.
  • Personal integrity and standards, with passion for continued professional and personal development
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with a high level of commercial acumen
