About the Role

This is a pivotal executive leadership opportunity for a senior finance professional to take charge of the Finance function across a global wholesale banking business. The role oversees Corporate, International, and Financial Institution banking segments — which collectively contribute to more than half of the Group’s total revenue and span multiple regions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, planning, and performance management for wholesale banking businesses across multiple geographies.
• Drive standardization, digitalization, and adoption of advanced technologies (including AI) to improve efficiency and financial insights.
• Partner with business heads and global CFOs to ensure financial governance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
• Manage and mentor a diverse finance leadership team across regions, while building future talent and succession pipelines.
• Represent the Finance function in strategic leadership forums, influencing decisions at both group and business levels.

Candidate Profile

• ACA, MBA, or equivalent qualification; a qualified accountant.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in banking and financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior Finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of wholesale banking (Corporate, International, FI) and regulatory frameworks across geographies.
• Proven expertise in transformation, digital finance, and cross-border operations.
• Commercially astute, highly analytical, and experienced in financial modelling.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and regulators.
