Head of Finance - Reed : Job Details

• Annual Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
• Location: Clapham Junction, South West London
• Job Type: Full-time, on-site.

We are seeking a Head of Finance to oversee the daily operations of a highly prestigious educational establishment, and its subsidiaries, in South West London. This pivotal role involves managing the finance team, supporting the Bursar with high-quality financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control processes.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning, including initiatives related to fundraising and capital improvements.
• Prepare presentations and reports on financial performance for Trustees and Finance Committees.
• Develop and monitor systems for capital project evaluation.
• Lead a team responsible for maintaining the school’s accounts, fostering a collaborative environment within the finance department.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with cash flow management.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Manage the school’s budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Significant experience in management and financial accounting, and finance leadership.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modelling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
