Head of Finance | Fast Growth Sustainable Beverage brand | London / Hybrid

Harmonic is excited to collaborate with one of the UK's most dynamic beverage startups in their search for a Head of Finance to join their team. Since their inception, our client has been driven by a passion for exceptional drinks and sustainable practices, fostering direct trade relationships and championing quality from crop to cup.

About our client:

Renowned for its high-quality products and esteemed reputation in the industry, our client is seeking a seasoned finance leader to join their finance department. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will play a critical part in driving the business through its next phase of growth and guiding the company toward success. They are currently trading at c.£12m turnover with ambitious plans to scale the business to c.£30m in the next 3 years. They are confident this can be achieved through new revenue streams which includes a subscription model as well as further growth into new regions.

As the Head of Finance, you'll play a crucial role as part of the senior management team, responsible for running the day-to-day finance as well as collaborating closely with department heads on business partnering. This role will oversee the financial reporting, drive operational efficiency, and mitigating risks to support our ambitious growth trajectory.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to become the second finance team member in the UK within a rapidly expanding scale-up and would suit candidates who enjoy being part of a fast-paced and evolving work culture. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual comprehensive financial reports for senior management, investors, and external stakeholders.
• Implement and optimize finance processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Lead cash flow management strategies to support operational requirements and strategic investments.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard financial stability.
• Mentor and guide our finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.
• Cultivate relationships with external partners and provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
• Regularly review and update risk management processes to adapt to changing market conditions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function to streamline processes and optimize operations.

What our client would like to see (Essential):

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with experience in finance operations.
• Proven track record in senior financial management roles, preferably within retail or FMCG or hospitality / multisite sectors.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and cross-functional collaboration.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work in a Start-up environment with strong experience in developing policies and processes.

What we Would Like to see (non-essential):

• Experience in a startup or scaleup (PE or VC backed)
• Track record of improving systems and processes as a company has grown
• Desire to work as part of a fast-paced business and a preference for working in a business where there will be projects and innovations of technical and commercial finance skills

Budget: £70,000 - 75,000 + Share options + Benefits

Location: London / Hybrid
