Elevation Senior Finance are looking to recruit a talented Head of Finance to join the leadership team of a successful SME business within the service sector. The role will be based in Chesterfield with the benefit of hybrid working. As Head of Finance, you’ll lead a talented finance team and work closely with the Executive Board. Acting as a trusted partner, you’ll provide critical insights, positive challenge, and guidance that enables smart decision-making and supports the long-term success of the business.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and develop a small Finance Team

• Partner with the Executive Board, providing insights and guidance

• Oversee financial control, reporting, budgets, audits, and compliance

• Drive process improvements, digital tools, and automation

• Support strategic growth through modelling, forecasting, and profitability analysis

Key skills / qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• Strong technical knowledge (UK GAAP, audit, VAT, payroll, tax).

• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• Commercially astute, proactive, and confident presenting to Boards.
