Head of Data remote - Reed : Job Details

I am supporting an organisation within the not-for-profit sector find a Head of Data.  The role needs someone with significant leadership experience within a Data function. The person will be responsible for developing and executing a data strategy that drives business growth, in addition they will also be responsible for the leadership and governance of supplier and contract management for the data function.

There are 4 teams this person will be leading:

Data Business Partners - looking after data reporting, Stakeholder engagement & gatekeeper for the DevOps

Data Management - responsible for data analytics, data modelling, data governance, data quality & data architecture

There will also be 2 sprint teams managed by a near shore capability, one to look after the existing tech stack and move to new tech, the second team to deal with new demand.

The ideal person will have:

Strong technical proficiency in data engineering, data architecture, and analytics, with expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud-based technologies (e.g., Azure).

8-10 years' experience leading data teams

Strong Experience of data governance, compliance and information security frameworks in a regulated environment

Managing suppliers and partner relationships including contract negotiations, performance management to deliver exceptional service.

Proactive hands-on management style 

This is a hugely important role that will be an integral part of the organisations drive to make a positive impact in the sector through innovative use of technology.
