Job Description :

Our Hertfordshire based client are seeking a Head of Communications who will be principally responsible for leading the firms internal and external communications strategy including management of the Communications Team.

This role is certified under the FCA Senior Managers and Certification Regime.

Description:

  • Define, develop and deliver the MFS UK Communications Strategy across all platforms.
  • Manage and build the MFS Communications team, including upskilling in all areas.
  • Be the point of contact for MFS Group Comms team (Paris), including attending all relevant meetings and conferences.
  • Generate positive Brand engagement through Social media platforms, working within Group policy and guidance.
  • Responsible for Reputational risk management, including activities relating to Motor Commissions.
  • Creating and delivering engaging internal communications, including management of the Company Sharepoint.
  • Work with external party suppliers to build positive PR stories.
  • Work with Customer Operations to ensure customer communications are consistent, compliant and have correct tone of voice.
  • Build the Mobilize Brand through impactful communications, including developing an awards strategy alongside the Executive Committee.
  • Working with the CRM team, develop and deliver compelling EDM campaigns.
  • Working with the Brand teams, ensure engaging, relevant and timely digital platform content development and management.
  • Liaise with Brand partner OEMs to ensure all communications are consistent and complementary.
  • Ensure relevance of all content and activity through conducting industry (and wider) benchmarking, including networking and attending events.
  • Responsible for Communications Department risk and compliance activity, including ensuring Consumer Duty is embedded across team.
  • Present to MFS Executive Committee, RUK Board, and other senior teams when required.
  • Cover for the MFS CMO in meetings and a decision-making capacity where required.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Public Relations experience •Communications strategy building in a corporate environment
  • Team management experience advantageous
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Able to keep calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present, influence and negotiate at Board level.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage commitments to several business stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and focused on achieving company goals
  • Enthusiastic, tenacious personality; able to prioritise work in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Motor industry or Financial Services experience preferred but not essential
