New Opportunity: Head of Business Development - 3PL Warehousing.

Line Manager: UK Managing Director.

Location: UK Hybrid Position - With c. 2 days per week required in the East Midlands area.

Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 + Car / Allowance, Bonus & Package (Role OTE £150K+).

Look no further! Loom Talent are actively supporting a well-known European 3PL Contract Logistics business with a strong presence in the Midlands, seeking a talented individual to lead the organisations sales strategy in a Head of Business Development capacity.

The Role

As the Head of Business Development - 3PL Warehousing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the profitability of the business moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the company's sales function.
  • Strategically manage our existing customer base, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up selling to maximise revenue and strengthen client relationships.
  • Lead the on boarding process for new clients from diverse industry sectors, ensuring a smooth transition and exceptional service delivery from day one.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to drive overall profitability and achieve company targets.
  • Assume responsibility for the organisation's customer retention strategy.
  • Identify additional revenue opportunities from a Transportation & Freight Forwarding perspective across both existing and new customers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, including operations, finance and the board to ensure seamless execution of client contracts and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments, leveraging insights to inform business decisions and maintain our competitive edge.

The Candidate

The successful candidate for the Head of Business Development - 3PL Warehousing will have the following skills and experiences:

  • 10+ Years Logistics Buisness Development or Sales experience - Essential.
  • A proven track record of success in Business Development or Sales focused roles within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry - Essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common objectives - Essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients at all levels - Essential.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving growth and innovation - Essential.
  • An individual comfortable with UK wide travel, with c. 2 days per week required at the NDC in the East Midlands area.
