An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef looking for their first Head Chef position, to lead the kitchen brigade.

We are looking for a passionate and talented chef with a strong background in classic French & British cuisine. You will lead from the front with the ability to constantly perform well in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Leading from the front to inspire a dedicated kitchen brigade, continuing a culture of excellence, professionalism, and creativity.
• Working with our Exec Chef and his senior chefs to develop and execute seasonal Bistro & Event menus.
• Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including stock management, procurement, food safety, hygiene, and compliance with health regulations.
• Work with the Management team, continuously striving to enhance the dining experience by maintaining exceptional standards of cuisine, presentation, and service.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy, high-end restaurant/brasserie/hotel environment.
• A deep knowledge and expertise in classic French and British cuisine.
• Experience of working with fresh ingredients.
• Be able to demonstrate leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop a talented team from the Sous Chefs to the Kitchen Porters.
• Strong organisational and management abilities, with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Be able to manage a budget and have a good sense of cost and quality control.
• Excellent communication skills.
