About the RoleLevel - 3 Department- Finance Location - Southampton Contract - Permanent As a Group Reporting Accountant at Quilter, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting at both Group and entity levels. Working within the Financial and Regulatory Reporting team, part of Group Finance, you will support the preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and accounting standards. Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS") and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (UK GAAP").
- Assisting with the preparation of regulatory returns.
- Deliver accurate financial and regulatory reporting through timely completion of disclosure, consolidation, and control processes across all reporting cycles.
- Supporting the relevant financial and regulatory reporting specialists on the implementation of Quilter's reporting policies and methodology.
- Working as part of a team to safeguard the quality of Quilter's financial and regulatory reporting by ensuring appropriate reporting systems, processes, procedures and controls are in place.
- Assisting with the preparation of reporting instructions and templates for teams involved in supplying, preparing, reviewing and collating data and narrative information used in financial and regulatory reporting.
- Support the relevant technical specialists to interpret complex financial reporting requirements and ensure that appropriate technical documentation is prepared and maintained.
- Assist with improving reporting consistency: period-on-period; across the various businesses; between internal and external reporting; and between financial and regulatory reporting.
- Support the relevant technical experts to account for major corporate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals and refinancing, and on complex or unusual transactions or events.
- Working with Technology to help maintain the general ledger account hierarchies within Workday and business processes relating to financial and regulatory reporting.
- Supporting the production of financial statements for the Quilter Foundation.
- Providing information and explanations to the Group's external auditors.
- Assist with changes to reporting systems and processes to take account of changes in the business as well as changes to legislation, accounting standards, official guidance and the expectations of auditors and regulators.
- Engaging with the Financial Planning & Analysis team, Tax and Line 2 functions on matters related to financial and regulatory reporting.
- Liaising with internal auditors as required.

- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Experience in financial reporting processes and controls.
- Excellent organisation, planning, and attention to detail.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Desirable: - Financial reporting experience in UK financial services.
- Knowledge of consolidated and regulatory reporting (IFPR, Solvency II).

- Familiarity with CDM, Workday, and external audit environments.
