Group Procurement Director (Indirects) required for my client, an international manufacturing business with market leading brands.

As Group Procurement Director you will provide strategic leadership of the Indirect Procurement function, driving value creation, innovation, and risk management across the group. You will act as a trusted partner to Business Units and the Executive Team, ensuring procurement is embedded as a driver of performance, growth and cultural impact.

Key Responsibilities of the Group Procurement Director:

• Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement - Define and deliver the group procurement strategy aligned with Business units and group objectives.
• Category & Spend Management - Set strategic direction for category management, leveraging market intelligence and business needs.
• Supplier Management - Lead supplier relationship strategy, from selection and contracting to performance management.
• Continuous Improvement & Value Creation - Champion cost reduction, efficiency and innovation initiatives with measurable impact.
• People & Organisational Leadership - Lead and develop high-performing, international teams with clear objectives and growth paths.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 7+ years' experience in indirect procurement with international leadership.
• Degree qualified, CIPS certified
• Strong working knowledge of SAP R3, SAP Ariba and S4 Hana
• Comprehensive expertise across the full Source-to-Pay lifecycle
• Advanced procurement and category management capability.
• Strong financial and analytical acumen; data-driven decision-making.
• Proven supplier management and contract negotiation expertise.

• Excellent communicator, able to engage seamlessly from shop floor to Executive Board.
• Proactive, energetic and able to make things happen.
