A world leading entertainment and leisure business, consistently voted as one of the best businesses to work for in UK is looking for a Group Internal Controls & Audit Manager, reporting directly to the Group Controls & Audit Director, based in London. The Group is a household name in the UK, and operates in more than 50 countries in 100+ operating units and is seen as the global leader in nearly all of the markets in which it operates.The Group Internal Controls & Audit Manager will lead the workstream responsible for rolling out and implementing the Group's Internal Control Framework in order to facilitate the required internal attestations under the “UK SOX” requirements contained within the recent BEIS 'White Paper' proposals. The workload will be varied and challenging and will include significant exposure to the Group CFO and the Group Finance Leadership Team alongside the requirement to build close working relationships with the Group's chosen Big 4 external partner on the internal controls journey, the internal control specialists located within the Group's various operating geographies and the Group's external Auditors. The role would suit a proactive and career driven person, looking to build a career within a varied, progressive organisation. The ability to work in a very structured manner whilst building strong cross-border relationships will be key to success.We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) with a background in audit and controls from training in a Big 4 / Top 10, a commercial business, or a mix of the two. This position would be ideal for a person currently in practice, or the equivalent already in industry, who is looking for their next move.
