  • Establish, review, and enforce compliance policies and procedures that align with corporate strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory standards across all regions.
  • Provide strategic compliance guidance and deliver training to senior leaders and teams globally, driving a unified compliance culture.

Governance, Ethics & Conduct

  • Champion high standards of corporate governance, ethical conduct, and accountability across all international operations.
  • Advise the Board and executive leadership on governance structures, controls, and processes that support sustainable global growth.
  • Ensure business practices, cultural norms, and stakeholder interactions reflect the organisation's commitment to integrity and ethical standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Support

  • Represent the organisation in global industry forums and regulatory events, reinforcing the company's reputation for compliance excellence.

Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of senior compliance experience within the insurance industry, including extensive knowledge of Lloyd's of London and UK regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience leading compliance functions across multiple regions or complex regulatory environments. Strong familiarity with regulatory interactions in the UK (PRA, FCA) and exposure to European and other international regulatory regimes.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing, geographically dispersed teams. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels-including Board members, executives, and external regulators.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret and operationalise complex regulatory requirements across diverse markets. Commercially astute, with the ability to balance regulatory demands with business growth objectives.

Personal Attributes

  • Visionary thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on leadership approach.
  • Strong global business awareness and the ability to adapt to evolving regulatory and market environments.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the capability to manage multiple priorities across regions.
  • Confident, credible, and resilient, with a strong sense of integrity and professional responsibility.
