Senior Manager - Group Financial Reporting |£75,000 - £90,000 | Hybrid, Derby

We are currently partnering with a large, high-performing organisation to recruit a Senior Manager within Group Financial Reporting. This is a newly created role within the central finance team, responsible for leading the delivery of accurate, compliant, and timely external financial reporting.

You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth audit processes, working cross-functionally with internal finance teams and external auditors, and supporting leadership with clear insights and governance around group-level financial statements.

This position offers a high level of exposure and the opportunity to influence financial reporting standards, processes, and systems across a complex, multi-entity business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of external financial reporting.
  • Coordinate the external audit process across the group, ensuring deadlines are met and efficiencies are identified.
  • Work closely with internal finance teams to ensure reporting is consistent and in line with internal policies and external requirements.
  • Review and challenge internal account classifications and financial data presentation.
  • Provide leadership and clear direction across finance teams involved in reporting cycles.
  • Contribute to special projects, including M&A activity and audit tender processes.
  • Act as a key liaison between finance, audit, tax, treasury, and other corporate functions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, audit management or group finance roles.
  • Proven ability to manage complex reporting timelines across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confident working in a large, fast-paced business environment.
