Position Overview: As the Group Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our client's operations. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee all aspects of statutory accounting, taxation, and compliance, while driving process improvements and adding value through strategic financial analysis. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the completion of annual statutory accounts for the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage the external audit process, fostering strong relationships with audit partners and stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and efficient process.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, including timely submission of returns and adherence to tax obligations.
• Oversee Companies House filings and maintain accurate records of company and director changes.
• Take primary responsibility for short-term cash forecasting, supporting liquidity management and financial planning.
• Provide oversight and performance management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for HQ subsidiaries, consolidating financial data and providing insights into business performance.
• Support forecasting and budgeting processes, contributing to the development of robust financial plans.
• Review, coordinate, and document internal control processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Drive taxation value-add projects and activities, optimising tax efficiency and mitigating risks.
• Source, implement, and manage government and industry grants to support business growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Diligent and accurate with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Solid communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Minimum of Intermediate Excel skills.
• Sound hands-on ERP use and knowledge, particularly Netsuite.
• Continuous Improvement mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
