Location: London Area - Hybrid

Group Account Manager

As the Group Account Manager, you will oversee a team of dedicated Product and Account managers, driving the development and success of our private label offerings. Your role encompasses a multifaceted array of responsibilities, ranging from commercial analysis, problem solving to customer relationships. You will report into the General Manager and will form a bridge of communication between the Product Management team and the General Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • a team of Account/Product Managers giving them guidance and support
  • on issues / problem solving
  • support including negotiation
  • relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • point of escalation
  • development within customer portfolio
  • on efficiencies and best practice within the team
  • to GM on project status and working together to solve any challenges
  • of risks
  • of information needed to support production site - enhance relationship with parent company
  • elements of the P&L
  • functional collaboration

Required Role Competencies

Knowledge of the current retail environment and experience dealing with major multiples

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills based on relationship building

Able to deliver in a confident, authoritative and clear manner

Commercial understanding and acumen

Effective line management

Toiletry market knowledge or a passion to learn

Knowledge of own label would be desirable

FMCG lifecycle knowledge or a capacity to learn

Negotiation

Multi-tasking

Excellent presentation skills

Creativity and original thinking to present new ideas

Problem solving

Strategic thinking
