About the role

As a Group Accounts Controller, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our catering sales plan nationally. 

You will champion best practices, influence key decision-makers, and ensure the flawless execution of the catering sales plan across your team of Key Account Managers and driving industry leading service levels. 

Your leadership skills and core focus on maximising sales and profit will be crucial to achieving our goals and business objectives. With excellent interpersonal and business to business relationship skills, you will be the voice of the customer that helps shape the catering proposition.

You will be responsible for

  • Delivery of the Group Accounts sales & profit budgets, utilising resources and capacity
  • Own strategic business objectives that drive excellence across Group Accounts with customer and colleagues
  • Lead, develop and coach a team of Key Account Managers, ensuring clear development plans and measurements are in place and teams deliver and exceed against their objectives
  • Build long lasting business to business relationships with our key customers
  • Champion best practice across all the operational branches to improve the customer experience, satisfaction and maximise growth opportunities
  • Influence senior stakeholders within branches, Field and Support centres to ensure the Catering plan is executed
  • Act as a key stakeholder in developing the customer experience through central head office relationships
  • Represent the ‘voice of the customer’ on behalf of customers into Support functions ensuring we thrive as a customer driven business.
  • Provide sponsorship of talent with robust succession plans in place

You will need

Experience relevant for this job: 

  • Successful sales career to date with a core skill set around leading and growing a highly successful sales team. 
  • Strong understanding of insights and market dynamics within a relevant field (catering sales preferred)
  • Previous experience working within multisite customer base with exposure to legal terms and conditions. 
  • Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management 
  • Ability to identify profitable opportunities 
  • Ability to analyse data to identify opportunities and inform strategy 
  • Track record of making commercially sound decisions that benefit both the business and the customer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
