Salary:£23,005 - £23,858 per annum (Scale 4)Working Hours:Full time, all year round, permanentArea:Finance & ResourcesReporting to:Grounds SupervisorLocation:Cannington CampusTo allocate, supervise and oversee the work of the Grounds Team at the College campuses as agreed with the Grounds Supervisor.To work within the Grounds Team undertaking general maintenance and development of the College grounds and sports pitches at the College campuses as agreed with the Grounds Supervisor.The College has campuses at Cannington, Bridgwater and Taunton and further residential accommodation at Trull.Job ResponsibilitiesTo deputise for the Grounds Supervisor as/when neededTo act as Team Leader for the Grounds Staff and apprentices in their duties and provide direction as required by the Grounds Supervisor.To assist the Grounds Supervisor in preparing maintenance, development & project plansTo implement work schedules/plansTo carry out grounds maintenance & development as requiredTo operate horticultural machineryLiaise with the College Facilities & Maintenance Teams about Estates matters/issuesTo ensure the tidiness of horticultural storage areasTo assist with enquiries from students and members of the publicTo carry out all operations in line with the College Environmental and Health & Safety policiesTo undertake such other duties as may (reasonably) be required of you in the post and section mentioned above or in another post in any of the College's other sections or areasSupport and promote equality & diversity at Bridgwater & Taunton College to ensure equality of opportunity for all students, visitors and staff and the elimination of discriminatory practices.Maintain and promote a healthy and safe environment at Bridgwater & Taunton College to ensure students, visitors and staff are safe from harm.Support and promote the safeguarding agenda at Bridgwater & Taunton College to ensure students, visitors and staff are safeguarded.OtherSupports and promotes equality and diversity at the College to ensure equality of opportunity for all students, visitors and staff and the elimination of discriminatory practices.Maintains and promote a healthy and safe environment at the College to ensure students, visitors and staff are safe from harm.Supports and promotes the safeguarding agenda at the College to ensure students, visitors and staff are safeguarded.Any other duties connected with the post as are reasonably required from time to time.Permanent PositionseXede Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency and the successful applicant will be employed directly by our client.
